Spring, the day when the wind was blowing
[Lyrics: Tatsurou music: Satochi]
Sad news from his telephone
He isn’t himself anymore (and I) believed in God
Who do you believe in what do you live for fuck off
No matter how many meaningful writings you leave behind once you die it’s the end, right?1
Defeated by the asphalt, this grass flower’s beautiful life burns
The spring breeze evokes sensation and vividly colours this town
Sad news (but) the tears don’t flow
He isn’t himself anymore he changed
Do you want to become happy after all, everyone is lonely fuck off
No matter if you’ve been left hanging once you die, it’s the end, right?
Defeated by the asphalt, this grass flower’s beautiful life burns
The spring breeze evokes sensation, sweeps away my melancholy
This wind is in you as well, as are the flower and I (but) you will never come back
1 This part was very hard to translate – thanks so much to shiruba_hoshi and her friend Akiko for their help!
Some words to these two lines. As far as I understand, this song is about this guy who, because of a friend’s death, lost hope what makes him too tired to think about reasons and to find the sense of life, that’s why he’s so frustrated and annoyed. In the end he comes to the conclusion that, no matter how much you think about all these things, once you die everything is gone.
All in all, this song wasn’t easy to translate at all and I apologise if I made mistakes. Please let me know if you find some.
Translated by Eurydike.
